DevOps connects development, deployments, and operations to make an application releasable, observable, and maintainable in production. Our DevOps and infrastructure page explains this scope and when support is useful.
Choosing a DevOps agency is no longer simply about finding someone who can create a CI/CD pipeline or deploy an application to the Cloud. The right partner must be able to understand the application, industrialize delivery, secure infrastructure, monitor production, and respond when an incident occurs.
We compared ten French providers or providers strongly established in France based on their ability to support SMEs, mid-sized companies, scale-ups, and product teams across DevOps, Cloud, SRE, Platform Engineering, and operations.
How did we select the agencies?
We compared agencies using clear signals of reliability, experience, and fit for the actual DevOps need.
- Credibility and transparency of published information, commitments, and the actual scope offered.
- Satisfaction and renewals: ability to retain clients and operate environments over time.
- Size and mobilization capacity suited to criticality, support hours, and expected service level.
- Quality and relevance of references: Cloud, Kubernetes, operations, security, applications, and comparable contexts.

1. Koragence: combining DevOps, development, and maintenance under one responsibility
Koragence supports companies across the chain connecting code to production: Cloud architecture, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, backups, secret management, incident recovery, and application maintenance.
This approach is valuable when an incident cannot be cleanly assigned to development or infrastructure. A problem may come from code, a deployment, a database, a certificate, a Cloud service, or a network configuration. Koragence can then combine application maintenance and DevOps operations in one setup instead of multiplying providers.
Technologies and environments include AWS, Azure, OVHcloud, Scaleway, Cloudflare, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Grafana, Sentry, and PostgreSQL. Koragence currently publishes more than 20 delivered projects, more than 50 mobilizable experts and partners, and clients in six countries. This network is not presented as a fixed employee headcount assigned automatically to every engagement: skills are assembled according to scope.
Onctuo illustrates this continuity through a monitoring platform operated daily: 10 machines monitored, 99.95% availability, and 7,534 logged alerts, orders, and audit traces. Good is Merch shows the same challenge on the business-software side, with 23 document types, more than 960 references, and 99.99% availability. These references connect development, integrations, infrastructure, and maintenance in one operational view.
This positioning is particularly suited to SMEs, mid-sized companies, and product teams that want one point of responsibility for the application and its operations, with a contract sized to the workload rather than an enterprise-scale managed-services setup.
2. Enix: demanding Kubernetes and Cloud Native platforms
Enix is one of the French providers with the strongest technical specialization in Kubernetes, Cloud Native, and complex infrastructure operations. It works across on-premise environments and AWS, Azure, GCP, OVHcloud, and Scaleway, with operations during business hours or 24/7.
Its public references include Mistral AI, Institut Pasteur, Oodrive, Sellsy, Rakuten France, and WEKA. Enix states that it operates platforms for more than 150 clients. It is particularly relevant when a project involves Kubernetes in production, GitOps, advanced observability, distributed databases, or genuine 24/7 operations.
3. WeScale: Platform Engineering, SRE, and mature technical organizations
WeScale positions itself more as an expert consultancy than as a traditional managed-services provider. Its scope covers Cloud, DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, FinOps, architecture, and Software Delivery.
The company reports around 70 employees, more than 150 clients, and an average of more than 15 years of experience per consultant. It also develops OXP, an engineering platform built notably around Kubernetes, Backstage, GitOps, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. WeScale is particularly interesting for organizations seeking to improve their internal platform, Developer Experience, or SRE maturity.
4. Theodo Cloud: Cloud infrastructure and product culture
Previously known as Padok, Theodo Cloud is now the Cloud, DevOps, and infrastructure vertical of the Theodo group. Its public capabilities cover AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, SecOps, and 24/7 operations.
Theodo Cloud states that it manages operations for more than 45 clients and strengthened its operational capacity through its combination with Synalabs. It is a coherent option when a project needs Cloud modernization, support for development teams, and regular production operations.
5. Alter Way: managed Cloud, Open Source, and sensitive environments
Alter Way is now the Cloud and DevOps brand of the Smile group. It works across managed Cloud, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, cybersecurity, managed operations, and security maintenance, with a strong historical Open Source culture.
Alter Way reports more than 300 clients and lists references such as RATP and My Money Bank. This depth makes it interesting for organizations combining Cloud, managed operations, regulatory requirements, and sovereignty.
6. Claranet: critical platforms and large-scale managed services
Claranet operates at a different scale from the providers above. Its French organization has several hundred employees and belongs to an international managed-services group. It works across Cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, Kubernetes, critical applications, and managed services.
Its offering includes IaC, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift, managed operations, and SRE, with 24/7 operational capacity. It is a strong option for mid-sized companies, large organizations, and regulated sectors seeking industrial-grade guarantees, although its structure is naturally sized for larger scopes than a few days per month.
7. OCTO Technology: architecture, Cloud Platform, and complex transformations
OCTO Technology is an IT consulting and delivery firm belonging to Accenture. Its Cloud and Platform expertise covers Cloud, DevSecOps, SRE, Infrastructure as Code, observability, Continuous Delivery, and enterprise architecture.
OCTO is particularly recognized for situations where the difficulty goes beyond configuring infrastructure: organizational transformation, architecture, operating models, and modernization of complex systems. Its positioning is best suited to large organizations seeking strategic advice and high-level technical expertise.
8. SFEIR: large Cloud programs, particularly on Google Cloud
SFEIR brings together 850+ consultants and reports more than 2,500 delivered projects. Its Cloud expertise is particularly developed around Google Cloud, while also covering AWS and Azure.
The group reports more than 150 Cloud engineers and architects, more than 200 Google Cloud-certified consultants, and more than 400 active Cloud certifications. SFEIR is particularly relevant for organizations running major Cloud programs, especially when Google Cloud is strategic.
9. Zenika: teams, Cloud, and software engineering
Zenika is a French technical services company founded in 2006 with around 550 consultants across eleven locations. Its positioning is broader than pure DevOps and includes development, architecture, data, and Cloud.
Its technical depth is also visible in its training offering: Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, CI/CD, SRE, FinOps, GreenOps, and Cloud Native security. Zenika is particularly suited to companies wanting to embed several experts in their teams or upskill their employees.
10. Onepoint x Stack Labs: specialized Cloud Native squads
Stack Labs historically built its position around Cloud, development, and data, with a strong focus on technical expertise, AWS, Google Cloud, GitLab, microservices, and DevOps. It joined Onepoint, giving it access to a much larger group.
The Stack Labs organization retains a public footprint of around thirty profiles and has historically worked through specialized squads. It is an interesting option when a project needs a focused Cloud Native team backed by a larger group.
How should you choose a DevOps agency?
Who will be responsible for production? Ask explicitly who monitors the infrastructure, receives alerts, responds to incidents, and during which hours. A contract that only mentions “monitoring” without defining these responsibilities remains incomplete.
Are deployments reproducible? A good DevOps chain should allow an environment to be rebuilt and deployed without depending on a sequence of actions known by one person. CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, secret management, and rollback procedures should be readable and transferable.
Who owns the accounts and access? Cloud, DNS, Git, monitoring, certificates, and third-party tools must remain accessible to the client. The provider must be able to leave without taking the ability to operate production with them.
How are backups restored? The existence of a backup proves nothing by itself. Frequency, retention, and especially the ability to restore must be tested.
Does the provider also understand the application? Many incidents require simultaneous understanding of code, database, application logs, pipeline, and infrastructure. For a mid-sized platform, bringing these skills together can reduce diagnosis time.
What budget and coverage level do you actually need? A few days per month, on-call support, and 24/7 operations do not carry the same cost or level of responsibility. Compare support hours, response times, and what is included in operations.
Which regulatory or security constraints apply to your environment? Hosting, sovereignty, personal data, secret management, access separation, traceability, and industry requirements should be checked before choosing a Cloud or architecture.
The general ranking provides a first view, but the best choice mainly depends on the system to operate and the level of responsibility you want to delegate. A company that already has an SRE team needs a different partner from an SME wanting one team to handle the application, deployments, and operations.
To compare offers properly, ask for a readable scope, responsibilities, access, intervention terms, reversibility, and what is actually included in operations. Price alone cannot compare setups that carry different levels of risk.

Frequently asked questions
How should you choose a DevOps agency in France?
Start with the expected level of responsibility: a focused audit, CI/CD industrialization, Cloud support, recurring operations, on-call coverage, or shared responsibility for the application and infrastructure.
Which agency should you choose for Kubernetes in production?
Enix and Claranet are particularly focused on Kubernetes environments and large-scale operations. WeScale, OCTO, and other providers become relevant when the scope also includes internal platforms, SRE, or organizational transformation.
What is the difference between a DevOps agency and a managed Cloud provider?
A DevOps agency can work across the full chain: code, environments, pipelines, infrastructure, security, and operations. A managed Cloud provider is often more focused on operations, service commitments, and managed infrastructure.
Is Koragence genuinely comparable with these larger providers?
Yes, but not on the same size criterion. Koragence is included for its ability to combine application development, DevOps, and maintenance for SMEs, mid-sized companies, and product teams seeking a proportionate setup.
Do you need a DevOps agency that can provide 24/7 operations?
Not always. 24/7 coverage makes sense when incident impact, contractual commitments, or user hours require it. Otherwise, a proportionate scope for monitoring, alerting, and intervention may be more appropriate.
What is the difference between DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering?
DevOps connects development and operations, SRE structures service reliability, and Platform Engineering provides reusable internal capabilities to product teams. These approaches are complementary.
